Sophie was born in Limoges, France, where she studied modern literature. She worked in Paris and the surrounding suburbs as a bookseller and journalist, for both radio and specialized publications. In Chicago, she teaches French and English (ESL) at various universities. She loves reading, writing, and going to the movies with her husband, Jake.
