Professionals Group
Join a network of internationally minded professionals and supporters of one of Chicago’s oldest and most respected cultural institutions.

The Alliance Française Professionals Group (AFPG) is a peer-led community of internationally minded supporters ages 25–45 who are passionate about culture, connection, and community impact.
The AFPG brings together emerging and mid-career professionals from all sectors – business, non-profit, the arts, academia, and beyond – and offers access to cultural events, leadership opportunities, and community initiatives.
French fluency is not required. Curiosity, enthusiasm, and a desire to contribute are all you need.

Bastille Day is AFPG’s signature event and one of the Alliance’s most anticipated celebrations of the year.
Held each July (typically on the Saturday before Bastille Day), the event welcomes more than 300 guests for an evening of French culture, music, cocktails, dining, dancing, and community. The celebration serves as both a cultural gathering and an important fundraiser for the Alliance’s educational outreach program, the Etoile Scholars. This life-changing program provides French language instruction, cultural immersion activities and travel opportunities for high school students from Chicago Public Schools.
Each year, the event is made possible through the dedication of AFPG members and the support of valued partners, including La Grande Boucherie Chicago, Grey Goose, Citadelle Gin, Planteray Rum, Nougat of Chicago, and many others.
Join AFPG and help shape one of Chicago’s premier Francophone celebrations.
