Immersion Day
September 8 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:50 p.m.

Enjoy a day of French Immersion without leaving Chicago! In true French fashion, start with a complimentary café-croissant and enhance your French skills by taking as many workshops as you like all day long.

From current affairs to phonetics including our famous wine tasting, workshops are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.

Don't forget to visit our Petit marché over lunch (cooked by our own Chef, Jack McCord) to discover local French vendors and find that perfect gift.

This is a day you don’t want to miss!

Phonetics:
Practice makes perfect! Work on your pronunciation and learn how to sound cool and more natural.
Brush up - pet peeves:
whether it is faux amis (words that look similar but actually have different meanings) or homophones (words that have the same sound but different meanings and/or spellings) tackle and get rid of the typical challenges any learner of French faces.
The 4 skills:
Feeling a little rusty? Enjoy the immediate benefits of this global review, enrich your 4 skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing) and develop new ones.
My 1st Lit Class – Le Petit Prince:
It is never too early to start reading Le Petit Prince and feel the uplifting power of (French) words.
Littérature:
So you think you know Marie-Antoinette? Let us find out through the study of two novels named after her: Les adieux à la reine de Chantal Thomas / Marie-Antoinette d’Andre Castelot.

Bande Dessinée:
France has a rich and highly regarded tradition of comic book art, the only issue is: it is mostly Belgian!
Jeu de Société:
Learning a language involves playing on words but also sometimes playing with words! So play board games with us and see how well you can do at classic board games en français.
Cocktails à la française:
shake shake shake... en français with an expert bartender from French brand Grey Goose vodka!
