Wine Tasting: Le Champagne

Just in time for the holidays, join us in the Eleanor Wood Prince Salon for an elevated tasting experience with sommelière Alicia Barrett. The evening will begin with a welcome cocktail and complimentary hors d’œuvres, followed by a festive tasting journey featuring premium Champagnes (and other premier sparkling wines!).

This program is designed for those with a solid foundation in wine who are looking to advance their knowledge and take their tasting skills to the next level.

For this year’s edition of Alicia’s annual Champagne tasting, we’ll not only make you an expert on the region of Champagne but we’ll also travel around the globe to other premier sparkling wine regions that are using the same Traditional Method as Champagne. You’ll be the judge of who is producing the best sparkler for your holiday celebrations!

About Alicia Barrett

Alicia Barrett’s passion for wine began after a transformative trip to Burgundy, inspiring her to pursue a deep dive into the world of wine education. She holds the prestigious WSET Diploma, a qualification earned by only a select group of wine professionals globally. Alicia serves as the wine educator for Binny’s Beverage Depot in Illinois, where she leads educational programs for both staff and customers across 45 locations. She is also an educator for the U.S. Champagne Bureau and conducts wine tastings for the Alliance Française. Previously, Alicia worked as a sommelier at the InterContinental Hotel-Chicago. When not immersed in the world of wine, Alicia enjoys exploring new culinary experiences, traveling, and living in the city.
