Our beloved plein air concert series is back with a performance by Chicago-based French soprano Gabrielle Goudard, accompanied by her full band for the first time at the Alliance!
Gabrielle and her musicians will enchant listeners with an hour of French jazz.
Guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of French rosé in the company of their fellow Francophiles and music lovers in our jewelbox courtyard.
Doors at 6:00 pm. Concert at 6:30. Please enter via 810 N Dearborn St. Each table of (4) will receive a complimentary bottle of French rosé, sparkling water, and salted nuts. Non-alcoholic rosé is available upon request. If you wish to be seated with another guest(s), please note their names when registering. Tickets are non-refundable after Friday, May 7.

Gabrielle Goudard
Born in France, Gabrielle Goudard has studied and performed opera as well as Western classical, jazz, Balinese, Middle Eastern, and Gospel music over the course of her career. She has appeared on numerous stages around the world, including festivals in France, Italy, Norway, Spain, Lebanon, Oman, Turkey, China, Taiwan, Peru, and the US!
Based in Chicago, she is an active Operatic Soprano, ensemble musician, and jazz bandleader.
Her French Jazz project is the go-to call for French cultural events in town and has performed at iconic Chicago venues including Andy’s Jazz Club, Old Town School of Folk Music, the Ivy Room, the Arts Club, 360 CloudBar, Le Piano, Cantigny Park, for institutions like the Consulate General of France, the French American Chamber of Commerce, Andersonville Chamber of Commerce, Chicago Department of Aviation Entertainment, Timeless Vibes Festival by ROCO Chicago, Working in Concert, and internationally at the Jazz Zone in Lima, Perú or Le Ti Paris in the Caribbean Island of Guadeloupe.

Chris White
Originally from Toronto, Chris White has gained recognition through his albums Young at Heart and Tributaries. At home in a host of genres and settings, he has made his name as a go-to freelance pianist, arranger and accompanist in the Chicago area. His performance credits include the Chicago Jazz Festival, The Jazz Showcase, The Green Mill, Winter’s Jazz Club, Cliff Bell’s (Detroit), Catalina Jazz Club (Los Angeles), Feinstein’s/54 Below (NYC) among others. He has also performed overseas in Japan and Thailand.
Evan Levin
Evan Salvacion Levine is an Upright/Electric Bassist, Composer, and Singer that currently lives in Chicago, IL. Evan received his Bachelor degree in Jazz Bass Performance from Oberlin Conservatory in 2014 and his Masters Degree in Music Improvisation from the University of Michigan in 2015. After graduating, he was a prominent figure in the Miami Jazz scene before moving to Chicago in 2017.
Known for his virtuosic playing and rhythmic reliability, Evan has made a name for himself as a steadfast bassist who can play almost any style with an easygoing attitude.Evan has two records under his own name, Unsolvable Problems (2016) and Mestizo (2018). In 2020 and 2024, Evan was awarded a grant from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) to record original works. In February of 2023, Evan was awarded a Jazz fellowship with the Luminarts Cultural Foundation.
Juan Pastor
Juan Pastor is a Peruvian-born drummer, percussionist, composer, and educator based in Chicago.
He pursued formal studies at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música in Lima, Bachelor of Music at Northern Illinois University and Master of Music from DePaul University.
He is the founder and leader of Juan Pastor’s Chinchano, an ensemble created in 2013 and recognized for its distinctive fusion of Afro-Peruvian and Andean traditions with contemporary jazz. The ensemble, which has become a central voice in Chicago’s jazz and global music scenes, performs exclusively original music and has released five albums. His work reflects a deep commitment to cultural storytelling, rhythmic innovation, and cross-cultural collaboration.
In addition to his work as a performer and composer, Pastor serves as the Coordinator of the Jazz Program at North Central College, where he mentors students and leads ensembles while promoting contemporary and global approaches to jazz education.

The Alliance Française de Chicago is one block from the CTA Red Line stop at Chicago Ave. Closes bus stops are the 22 on Clark Stand the 66 on Chicago Ave. A Divvy station is located in front of the 54 W Chicago Ave entrance.
