Children of all ages and their families are invited to join us for a multilingual story hour and writing workshop in celebration of European Day of Languages!
The Alliance Française de Chicago is thrilled to partner with cultural organizations and government institutions across the city on the European Festival of Languages, a series of programs celebrating cultural exchange and the expansive linguistic and immigrant heritages of Chicago.
Families will enjoy complimentary café and croissants in the Eleanor Wood Prince Salon before breaking into groups:

Come play for a while with a Czech poet and slam artist Ondra Macl—let’s be beginner DJs, learn a few Czech words, and try creating your own anthem!
Ondřej Macle, Ph.D (born 1989 in the Czech Republic) is a writer & performer based in Prague. He received his Master’s in Comparative Literature from Charles University in Prague, a Master’s in authorial acting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, and a Bachelor’s in social work and journalism at the Masaryk University in Brno. He has completed residencies throughout Europe and is a published poet.
