This holiday season, it’s time to drink outside the box! Alongside some famous Champagne Houses, sommelière and wine educator Alicia Barrett will introduce you to smaller Champagne producers you should know. Join us to switch up your bubbles routine and take an in-depth journey into the history, grape varieties, winemaking and stylistic differences of the Champagne region. In addition to impressing your guests with new Champagnes, you’ll also learn how to set a beautiful holiday table and elevate the dining experience in your home.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for a welcome drink. Tasting starts at 6:30 p.m.

Alicia Barrett fell in love with wine after a trip to Burgundy, a place she still feels is heaven on earth. She began her wine education at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust’s global headquarters in London. Alicia now holds her WSET Diploma, a lengthy and challenging certification held by just over 10,000 individuals worldwide.

Alicia currently serves as the wine educator for Binny’s Beverage Depot of Illinois. With 44 retail stores, she is responsible for both staff and consumer wine education chain-wide. Alicia also teaches for the American Wine School, serves as the Chicago educator for the U.S. Champagne Bureau, and conducts monthly wine tastings for the Alliance Française. Alicia was formerly a sommelier at the InterContinental Hotel-Chicago.

Like many in wine, Alicia is also passionate about food, travel, and city living.
