More than an evening of celebration, it is an immersive odyssey through the three great pillars of French distinction: Haute Couture, Haute Gastronomie, and Grand Art. Jeffrey & Carol Horvitz

In recognition of their transformative contribution to the Art Institute of Chicago and their unparalleled stewardship of French Old Master art. The Horvitz Collection includes nearly 2000 drawings, 200 paintings, and 50 sculptures by 16th- to 19th- century French artists. An Art Institute press release describes the impact of the collection: “this unparalleled gift will allow the museum to provide its visitors with a 300-year panorama of French art that is wholly unique outside of France.” Join us as we celebrate the couple who has ensured that the soul of French art remains a permanent treasure for the city of Chicago.
