Atelier d'art : Frida Kahlo avec Floriane Roussel

Join us for a craft night as part of our French-immersion art workshop series!

Inspired by the revolutionary Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, Chicago-based French artist Floriane Roussel will lead a painting workshop exploring symbolism and portraiture that made Kahlo a household name.

Guests will enjoy: 

• A complimentary glass of French wine 
• An opportunity to speak French with fellow Francophones
• A chance to get crafty and go home with a new artistic creation

No previous art experience is required! All levels of French are welcome. 

Doors at 6:00 pm. Workshop at 6:30. Please enter via 54 W Chicago Ave. Non-alcoholic options will be available. Tickets are non-refundable after Wednesday, September 30—merci pour votre compréhension.

Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter who was known for her portraits and works inspired by the nature and artifacts of Mexico’s popular culture.

Floriane Roussel

Floriane Roussel is a Chicago-based French painter, illustrator, and graphic designer. From big international campaigns to small French children’s books, Floraine adapts her unique style to all kinds of projects.

The Alliance Française de Chicago is one block from the CTA Red line stop at Chicago Ave. Best bus routes are the 22 on Clark St and the 66 on Chicago Ave. A Divvy station is located in front of the 54 W Chicago Ave entrance.

$10 for 12 hours at 100 W Chestnut St. Validation is available at reception.
