As the Alliance Française de Chicago celebrates 130 years, we look back at more than a century of opening doors—to ideas, to cultures, to one another.

For our 2026–2027 season, we turn our gaze outward once again, searching the four corners of the Francophone world to bring together a vibrant selection of voices, stories, traditions, and ideas. Across film and literature, music and the visual arts, gastronomy and movement, this season explores the many ways Francophone cultures continue to evolve, challenge, connect, and inspire.

Some stories will take us far away. Others will bring us closer to home. Together, they remind us that culture is never still: it travels, transforms, crosses borders, and creates new places for us to meet.
