Sweet! Just ahead of Valentine's Day, join Alicia on a discovery of the famous dessert wines of France. From Bordeaux and the Languedoc to the Rhône and Loire Valleys, Alicia will lead us through the different grape varieties, production methods and food pairings of these great dessert wines! 

Alicia will be covering four different wine regions and suggests you purchase any of the following wines. The white wines should be served well-chilled; the reds should be served slightly chilled.

Alicia Barrett began her wine education at the Wine and Spirit Education Trust’s global headquarters in London. She completed her WSET Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3, all of which were passed with distinction. Alicia is now completing her WSET Diploma, a lengthy and challenging certification held by just over 10,000 individuals worldwide.

Alicia currently serves as the Wine Educator for Binny’s Beverage Depot of Illinois. With 42 retail stores, Alicia is responsible for the company’s staff wine education chain-wide. Alicia also teaches for the American Wine School, serves as the Chicago Educator for the U.S. Champagne Bureau, conducts monthly wine tastings for the Alliance Française and oversees education and events for the American Wine Society-Chicago Chapter. Alicia was formerly a sommelier at the InterContinental Hotel-Chicago and has most recently founded Grape to Glass, a virtual wine tasting and education company.
