Scott is back with a new wine tasting series designed to transform all wine buffs into true oenophiles!

Follow us on a tasting tour de France and expand your knowledge by comparing wines of different price and quality.  From best buys and vin du pays to more complex and expansive châteaux and premier cru.  For those of you coming straight from work, each class will start with a typical French apéro to relax a little before moving on to the taste of terroir. After having exchanged taste notes and opinions with your voisin de table, you will have a new best friend thanks to the most convivial experience offered at the Alliance!

Master Class: A toast to Bordeaux! Blending rules in Bordeaux. The main varietals Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are expertly blended...making some of the most complex and highly prized wines in the world. This class explores wines at the Regional, Sub-Regional and Communal levels to gain an understanding of why these wines command such lofty prices.

Scott Komplin has spent most of his professional career in corporate finance. In 2004, a corporate acquisition project placed Scott in the Sonoma Wine Country for months at a time and that is where his passion for wine began. Now a certified sommelier, he has since spent the last 12 years travelling the Sonoma and Napa wine roads discovering brilliant wines, glorious vineyards and incredible producers. In addition to California, Scott has toured the gorgeous Okanagan wine region of British Columbia, Canada and has traveled all over the world to such destinations as Singapore, Russia, Finland, UK, France, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, and Australia discovering the wines and soaking in the local culture.
