Meet Oliver Gee, an Australian podcaster who’s taking Paris by storm. Oliver runs The Earful Tower podcast, a weekly escape to Paris that has just been recommended by the New York Times as one of the best travel podcasts on earth.
Oliver, who has lived in Paris since 2015, moved to the City of Lights to work as a journalist during a turbulent time in the country’s history. A few years later, he started the podcast as a hobby, but when listeners started to recognize him on the Paris streets by his voice (!), he ditched the journalist job and went full time on the podcast. Now, Oliver has written a laugh-out-loud memoir called Paris On Air that flew so quickly off the shelves of Shakespeare and Company that he’s doing a second print run.
Oliver will join us on Bastille Day to talk about his new book, his podcast, and this very special day in French history. Buckle up tight, this will be an entertaining ride!
