On the occasion of the 165th Anniversary of the Consulate of the Kingdom of Belgium in Chicago (1854-2019), Honorary Consul Van Halteren will present Tintin, a true "Belgian Hero." The famous young journalist is turning 90 but doesn't show his age with his little tuft of hair and his canine companion.

Created by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi, who wrote under the pen name Hergé, the Tintin series was one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century. Tintin has been published in more than 70 languages and has been adapted for radio, television, theatre, and film.

As the Captain Haddock would say: Mille Milliard de Mille Sabords ! (Billions of bilious blue blistering barnacles!)
