Bleu. Blanc. Rouge.

Liberté. Egalité. Fraternité.

The three colors of the French flag serve as tonal and thematic inspirations for Krzysztof Kieślowski's stunning Trois Couleurs film trilogy, a series of loosely related films each built around a color and a value of the French political ideal. Drama, mystery, and romance pull at three different protagonists, each with something tying them to their past. The result - a diffuse and evocative tableau of modern day france through three separate portraits and three distinct color palettes.

Join us at Ciné-Club during the month of October as we look at Kieślowski's films week-by-week, diving into the lush pantones and parables of one of French cinema's greatest undertakings. There's a lot to take in - let's talk about it!
