 Join us for Joie! the live performance kick starting our annual fête, with Isabelle Olivier, Michelle Marvin, and Marion Kleinberger.  Add a spring to your step after the show with a glass of classic bubbly, warm your heart with Jack’s famous vin chaud, or raise a snifter at the armagnac tasting table with sommelier Scott Komplin. As to the menu, no worries—there will be plenty of fancy French food to match your fancy frocks… A la bonne heure!

 
Joie! is a musical performance and mood setter for the season, with a mix of jazz standards, French songs, and original instrumental composition. Join in, oh joy!

Jazzwoman, composer and harpist with a strong musical personality and talent, Isabelle Olivier brings a wave of freshness and novelty to the international artistic world with her surprising and unique instrument. She recorded nine discs and a DVD of her personal work and traveled to 23 countries to present her musical creations. For the last 6 years, she has divided her time between France and the United States and leads her project with gusto and glee.
 

Michelle Marvin is a soprano and pianist originally from Milwaukee.  She has sung in and around the Midwest and South in opera, musical theatre, oratorio, and jazz. Credits include Milwaukee Symphony Chorus, Skylight Opera Theatre, Madison Opera, to name a few. She has worked in arts and culture fundraising for almost 20 years. She is delighted to have the opportunity to perform with Marion and Isabelle to celebrate the joy of French culture in this Fête de Fin d’Année
 
 
Marion Kleinberger is a 23 year old mezzo-soprano interning at the Alliance Française de Chicago. Classically trained in France, she has sung at the Conservatoire de Paris and Lille. She loves to make classical and modern music meet and she is full of joie to be working with professional artists Michelle Marvin and Isabelle Olivier.
