Embrasse-moi by Océanerosemarie and Cyprien Vial (2017, 90 min.) • In the presence of director Océanerosemarie
Océanerosemarie is full of life, friends, but mainly of ex-girlfriends. Then, she meets Cécile, the "this-time-it’s-for-real" woman of her dreams, even when she hasn't asked Cécile's opinion on the matter. It becomes time for Océanerosemarie to grow up a little so she can win her heart. But, will it even be possible?
After studying modern literature at the Sorbonne while taking drama, music and singing lessons, Océanerosemarie was formerly known as the singer "Oshen" (3 albums were made and released between 2005 and 2008 under the music label V2). She then realized that she was "an assumed lesbian but a repressed comedian" and consequently decided to focus on comedy to create her first one woman show The Invisible Lesbian. It was a success with more than 500 performances and 40,000 spectators in a period of four and a half years. In 2011, she met her producers Romain Rousseau and Maxime Delauney (Nolita Cinéma) and later Cyprien Vial, with whom she wrote and directed Embrasse-moi. The film was released by Haut et Court in France in July 2017. She has been performing her second (and sold out) one woman show Chatons Violents for three years now. She is also a frequent columnist on the radio and web.
Join us Thursday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 7 at 11:00 a.m. for two more Chicago premières from the Champs-Élysées Film Festival!
