Défi Actuel 4 - Unit 4 (B2 Level)

This is the fourth section of the B2-level Défi Actuel 4 sequence for Independent students. In this unit, you'll explore the evolution of marriage customs and relationships, both romantic and platonic, in francophone cultures. You’ll build confidence expressing emotions, describing relationships, and characterizing ideal qualities in a friend or life partner. Through authentic resources, interactive activities, and communicative tasks, you’ll build confidence using direct and indirect double pronouns in past, present, and future tenses. You'll explore new vocabulary including French terms of endearment and idioms related to love and friendship. Lastly, you'll debate the effects of social norms and stereotypes related to love and friendship perpetuated by films, social media, and, more recently, artificial intelligence.
