Défi Actuel 3-Unit 2 (B1 Level)

This is the second section of the B1-level Défi Actuel 3 sequence for Intermediate students. In this unit, you'll develop your storytelling skills by discussing traditions, recounting legends and personal anecdotes, and describing cultural celebrations from around the French-speaking world. You'll build confidence giving advice, making recommendations, expressing emotions, and describing relationships while learning to organize events clearly in time. Through authentic resources, interactive activities, and communicative tasks, you'll strengthen your use of the present subjunctive to express necessity and advice, review direct and indirect object pronouns, and improve your use of emphatic structures and tonic pronouns. You'll enrich your vocabulary related to traditions, gastronomy, celebrations, emotions, and time expressions. Culturally, you'll explore regional holidays, oral storytelling traditions, and francophone customs while gaining the language needed to discuss and share your own traditions and experiences.
