In this unit, you'll learn to talk about your family, relationships, and personal background while describing the people who are important in your life. You'll practice introducing family members, talking about marital status and nationality, and describing family relationships using increasingly natural language. Through interactive activities, authentic texts, and real-world communication tasks, you'll strengthen your use of possessive adjectives, adjective agreement, c'est / il est / elle est, and the masculine/feminine forms. You'll expand your vocabulary related to family members, relationships, marriage, nationality, and civil status while learning useful connectors such as et, ou, and mais, as well as expressions with depuis. Culturally, you'll discover different family structures, weddings, and social traditions throughout the French-speaking world. By the end of this course, you'll be able to describe your family and personal background with greater confidence and accuracy.
